About Germany

GermanyGermany is a symbol of an ideal order and business scale. In the North it is washed by the North and Baltic seas. Many rivers cross the country – Danube, Rhine, Elbe, and Main. The nature is perfect for tourism. There are hills and lakes, plateaus and plains, Alpine highlands and mineral springs outside and historical monuments, museums, theatres in the cities. In the northern part of the country a large port Hamburg is worth to be visited. Lübeck, Wismar and Stralsund with their majestic Gothic architecture are also interesting. In East Germany Dresden, the pearl of Saxony, has numerous historical monuments and the famous Zenerchi Opera. Leipzig will remind you about Goethe who studied in a local University. It is worth to see Potsdam, the former residence of the Prussian kings with the architecture of Baroque. And of course Berlin, beautiful Berlin with its Museum island and Pergamon, New National Gallery, Art Gallery in Dahlem and Museum of Egypt. The main city of the Central Germany is Frankfurt Am Main, the birthplace of Goethe. Southwest Germany is famous for its Heidelberg and Stuttgart, and the factories of "Mercedes-Benz". Passau, Regensburg and Nuremberg attract guests by their medieval charm. The countryside is full of springs, mud spas, excellent hotels, resorts with rich traditions and experienced staff. Outdoor enthusiasts have the opportunity to do any kind of sport: surfing on the coast of Northern and Baltic seas, and swimming in various pools, and a huge number of tennis courts. Fans of extreme adventures may go by kayaks on the small rivers in the Alps. Or fly a small plane and to appreciate the beauty of Germany from above. Few countries have had such big impact on the world as Germany has. In Germany the past is very much present wherever you go.
