But the Albanian places of interest represent an amazing mixture of centuries, styles and cultures. Orthodox churches belonging to a Greek style, marvelous mosques and Palaces of Culture in Empire style are the examples of wonderful combination of incongruous elements. The museum town Berat is a bright evidence of this. On both Berat riversides there are residential areas, one of them is Islamic, and the other one is Orthodox. One should definitely taste the Albanian food which is very delicious. It is a delightful mixture of antique, Slavonic, Turkish and Italian cooking traditions.
