Angola is one of the most mysterious and beautiful countries in the world, which attracts annually a great number of tourists. The country is situated in the southwestern part of the African continent. The capital of the Angola is Luanda, the biggest and most populated city of the country. Every year thousands of tourists come to Angola to admire its beautiful nature. They are attracted by the breathtaking views of the coast, the Namib Desert in the southern part of the country, where it is allowed to hunt, and the savanna. Besides that, lots of travelers come here to see with their own eyes the mode of life of some tribes, which still practice the way of life and traditions they had in the Stone Age. There are not so many places of interest in Angola which were built up by the people; this fact can be explained by centuries-long colonial regime. The majority of landmarks are situated in the capital of the country. There are for example very unusual and eye-catching mosaics on the pavements in Luanda. Each tourist, who comes to Luanda, shouldn’t miss an opportunity to visit the Fortress of San Miguel, which was built about five centuries ago, and now is a historical museum. Another interesting place is the Dundu Museum, where the most valuable ethnographic artifacts of Angola are gathered. Kissama National Park strikes by its natural magnificence, here one can see the rare alliances of animals and plants, which are typical for Angola, and meet the endangered species, such as red buffalos, loggerhead turtles and manatees.
