About Dublin

Dublin, IrelandThe modern capital of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin is one of its oldest towns, and its long history and interesting sites always attract many tourists. The city was founded by the Vikings in the mouth of the River Liffey in the 9th century. Modern Dublin amazes with the splendor of its fashionable neighborhoods with a rich architecture of the 18th century, the beautiful mansions and houses of Georgian era, wide streets and squares, picturesque parks and boulevards. Its main street, O'Konnol Street, repeatedly destroyed and restored from ruins, beautifully displays the historical identity of the city, presenting a patchwork of styles, cultures and eras. Dublin is famous for its public parks, the oldest university in Ireland called Trinity College, and many other attractions.
