This city is shaped like a drop, with a cathedral in the center. From its coast you can see a view of the archipelago, numbering 22 different islands. The biggest of them are St. Catherine's and St. Andrew islands. The new part of the town is stretched along the beautiful beaches. The Rovinj architecture with its small houses and streets, whose walls descend all the way to the water, has deserved a name of "northern pearl" of the country, the most romantic place on the Istrian Peninsula. The coasts of Rovinj are bulk with small pebble, so it makes it comfortable enough to walk on it (large stones begin further). There are small bays, where it is convenient to swim with children.
