Paris is divided into 20 municipal districts. 1- 16 districts are the most prestigious and busiest ones. 1st District will please fans of shopping and antiques experts; architectural parks are placed here and the main one is Louvre. The historical center is in the 4th District. The 7th one contains a symbol of the country Eiffel Tower. Day and night entertainments on Champs Elysees are intended for active young people. It is a bourgeois area with luxury houses and cars. The 13th District is one of the most calm places regardless the local Chinatown. 12th, 14th are simpler and more democratic areas, and can be called relatively safe. In the evenings there are a lot of funs at the bars in the 11th district not far from the Bastille. The perfect way to know modern Paris better is to visit La Defense.
