Ksamil, the most southern city of Albania, is a part of Butrint National Park. Ksamil was founded in 1966. The city is one of the most popular coastal resorts of Albania. Here you can find the most beautiful Albanian beach – the stunning Ksamil Beach. The antique ruins of the historic city of Butrint are worth seeing. For all the appeal of Ksamil there is a strong lack of transport availability: the airport in Tirana is 250 km away. The main attractions of Ksamil are small islands where you can sail on a catamaran or boat for hire. On the shore there are many restaurants with a huge selection of fresh Mediterranean seafood. The beaches are small but there are plenty of them. And only here in Europe there are beaches with white sand as in the Dominican Republic.
